Quickbase MCP
Lets Claude inspect and build Quickbase apps in Quandary's customer realms. Setup takes a few minutes.
Before you start
- Sign in with your @quandarycg.com Microsoft account. You need to be in the
sg-qbmcp-developersgroup; ask Michael if sign-in says you aren't allowed. - You don't need a Quickbase token. The server works as
dev@quandarycg.comin each customer realm, and logs every change it makes with your name.
claude.ai and Claude desktop
- Open Settings → Connectors. Find Quickbase (your org owner has already added it) and click Connect.
- Sign in with Microsoft. Desktop uses the same connector as claude.ai, so you only connect once.
- In a chat, turn the Quickbase connector on and ask: "Run whoami, then list the Quickbase realms."
Claude Code
- Run this in a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user --client-id 9e7de7a4-6443-4216-99bb-710d1777a7ae --callback-port 8765 quickbase https://qbmcp.quandarycg.com/mcp
- Start
claude, run/mcp, choose quickbase and Authenticate. A browser opens for the Microsoft sign-in. - Ask: "Run whoami, then list the Quickbase realms."
Connector URL: https://qbmcp.quandarycg.com/mcp · OAuth client ID: 9e7de7a4-6443-4216-99bb-710d1777a7ae (no secret)
How it works
- Every tool takes a profile, the short customer name (for example
dvp).realm_listshows the ones you can use. - New customers start read-only. Michael switches a profile to read-write when a build needs it.
- Schema changes are staged first: Claude shows the plan (
schema_builder_show) and pushes only after you approve. Deletes are dry runs until you confirm. - Schema sessions are shared, so a teammate can review or push a session you started if you give them its ID.
- If something fails, send Michael the time and the tool name. The server keeps a log of every change.
